Sandstone is a clastic sedimentary rock composed mainly of sand-sized minerals or rock grains such as Calcium carbonate, Silica, Iron oxide & Dolomite & typically comes in yellowish brown & grey colors. Sandstone is very durable and hard against weathering with low flexural strength and very high water absorption. Sandstone doesn’t have a good adhesion with grout, therefore, should be restrained by the fixing tools. It has been widely used in interior & exterior facades as well as outer pavements.
